Please read the following information:
*There will be a Ch. 13 test on Thursday, February 4th.
*Starting this week, all my classes will participate in a Newsbowl current events activity. This will be done every other week. You may preview the Newsbowl website at: www.newsbowl.com
*Last week I offered students 5 bonus points if they would go online to the newsbowl website, complete 4 or more sections of the practice newsbowl test, print, and return it to me. It is due on Wednesday.
* Mid-term grades are now available online since last Friday. If you have not viewed your child’s mid-term grades please do so this week and sign the mid-term progress report letter, indicating you have seen your child’s grades. The letter should be returned to your child’s reading/L.A. teacher.

Monday, January 25 – No School due to Institute Day

Tuesday, January 26–
Review section 2 vocabulary and power notes, if necessary
Discuss and take power notes on Roman/Greek gods & arches
Begin reading pp. 215-216 and complete definitions
Homework: Finish definitions- Capitoline, forum, gladiatorial, triumph, fasces, municipal, and mundus

Wednesday, January 27–
Review pp. 215-216 using “Read and Say It”-0active reading strategy
Homework: Complete Section 3 guided power notes – Pt. 1

Thursday, January 28-
Review homework
Finish power note taking for pp. 215-216
Homework: Complete “Vocabulary & Contribution Review” handout p. 58- due Friday
Ch. 13 test next Thursday, therefore you should begin studying for it tonight

Friday, January 29–
Newsbowl current events activity
Homework: Continue studying for Ch. 13 test on next Thursday, February 4th
